    Story Club for Pre-School Children

    Every Wednesday, from 1.30pm to 2.45pm Term Time only, at  Holy Spirit Church, Crawcrook. Join us for a warm welcome, tea, coffee and juice. There are lots of Children’s Stories, Bible Stories, Craft Activities and you can join in to sing some songs too!

    Sunday Club!

    We asked our children to give their individual groups a new name. Now we have three groups lead by:

    2 to 5 years - Sara Brown and Tricia Reed

    5 to 8 years - Cyndi Devonish and Laura Anderson

    9 to 11 years  - Angus Brown

    And we have a growing number of children from all our age groups, with most attending every week! Every 2 out of 3 weeks we use the Scripture Union LIGHT material. It's a combination of games, activities, Bible Stories and worksheets for each specific age group. 

    Every 3rd week groups join together for something different! This ranges from exciting videos, lively games, noisy singing, painting or even eating scrumptious cake! More helpers have joined us, as are more children are joining.  We thank God for this expansion of both helpers and children.    

    Our youngest member is Charlie Reed, son of Tricia and Darren and brother to Tess.  Mum Tricia also helps out in Sunday Club.

    The children who regularly come along are extremely enthusiastic and a real pleasure to teach! Thanks too for the whole host of volunteers from the church family.

    One of the highlights of each year is our preparations for Christmas and the Sunday Club party.  Last year there was the production of a brilliant, short 'home video film' which was shown in church.  It went down a treat with the children as actors on location at Crawcrook, Greenside and other exciting places as far away as Hexham! Who knows what this year will bring - perhaps more Puppet Shows that also went down a treat!
