The  'Cross Factor Group for Women' aims to encourage women of all ages to meet together, growing in God.

Here's a flavour of what you can expectL

The Launch: The 'Cross Factor Group for Women'was launched, with over 70 women attending. They enjoyed a 'buffet by candlelight', followed by The Yankee Candle Company presenting their beautiful candles. The theme of the evening was 'From Darkness To Light' looking at when people accept Jesus into their lives and how their lives are deeply enriched and transformed.

  • York: We enjoyed a coach trip to York, visiting the 2009 Christmas Market, the beautiful York Minster and celebrated Christmas  by meeting up at a lovely Italian restaurant for lunch. The day was not for the faint hearted but for the tolerant and forgiving as we experienced the busyness of York at Christmas, however, we had fun and time to get to know each other. I did not see one grumpy face but only smiles and  laughter!
  • Revive: During the month of February 2010 it was time for women to come together and 'Revive' themselves after the busyness of the Christmas period. The theme was based on the inner beauty of women. A short talk based on the book of Esther and what made her beautiful in the eyes of a King and God, was presented by a member of our church. And a number of young women demonstrated their expertise on how to perk yourself up after the winter period. Demonstrations on beauty products, manicures, hair styles and foot care were given and women enjoyed time to chat, relax and get to know each other.
  • Coach Trips: We enjoyed a coach trip to Harrogate for the Women’s Day Event and also went to Durham Cathedral to see our curate ordained.

  • Roots and Shoots - great fun planting our own Summer flower baskets with expert gardeners on hand, healthy eating tips. There was our Traidcraft stand there too, cookery demonstration where we brought our best home made cake!
