St John’s Hall
St John's Hall is on Greenside Road, Greenside, Ryton NE40 4LD, opposite St John's Church. (If you use what3words app: flood.ages.salad)
The hall has been completely refurbished with modern facilities in 2012 and redecorated in 2025. The large main hall (see photo below) complete with a stage, is ideal for children's parties, sports, dances, ceilidhs and special events. We have tables and chairs available and there's lots of space to take a bouncy castle.
Available to hire for £18/hour, or £60 for 4 hours, for events, and £14/hour for weekly users. There’s also a smaller meeting room which can be hired separately for £6.50/hour.
To help with event catering, the hall has a modern kitchen with two ovens, an under-counter fridge and a five-burner hob. The hall has its own car parking area and there is also free on-street parking on the roads nearby.
The hall can be booked for birthday parties or celebrations. Bookings for regular classes and badminton sessions (with half-hourly rates) are also welcome.
