Children and Youth
We meet each Sunday during the morning service. We spend some time in the main service, then move into the hall alongside. The sessions cover a variety of activities including Bible teaching, games and craft activities.
We used the Urban Saints Energise material for a number of years before COVID and lockdown.
When we could get back into the church building we produced an interactive Nativity Play involving all of the congregation.
We are currently looking at the Open Doors’ material on The Secret Church before moving onto Open Doors’ The World Watch list. We will be looking at how Christians in other parts of the world manage to worship.
When a month has five Sundays, on the fifth Sunday we have an All Age service in which the group is involved.
We currently have two members of the group taking part in the Growing Young Leaders course.
We have also taken part in a variety of activities including: The Archdeacons’ Games, an Escape Room event, an Outdoor Activity weekend and the Gateshead West Deanery Youth event.
